Jorgen Petersen Ltd., Consulting Naval Architects has more than 40 years of experience in ship design and consulting services. Over the years, a variety of ship designs have been produced; primarily ferries, fishing vessels and merchant ships. The primary tools in the beginning were pencils, drawing ink and drafting machines. But already in the 1980‘es computers were introduced for naval architectural calculations. The available software was not up to the standards we are familiar with today, so most of it was modified or developed by one of the founders, P.K. Bagai.

Information technology has thus for many years been an integrated part of the company culture, and it is applied, maintained, and further developed by our employees with the main objective of creating modern, innovative ship designs based on well known traditions and craftsmanship.

Documentation - the basis for successful projects
In Jorgen Petersen Ltd., Consulting Naval Architects, it has always been a primary requirement that designs be documented by detailed drawings and calculations, using up to date drafting and computational tools of highest quality.

From design to product
No matter how sophisticated or complex a design is, a successful implementation requires due consideration to production techniques at the early stages. For the benefit of our customers, our experience and know-how in turning designs into real products, has been structured through tailor made computer programs.
